Ministry of Heath and child Care has recorded the 4th death from the deadly COVID-19 virus.

The Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr Obadiah Moyo, said the person, who died at West End Clinic in Harare, came from Mhondoro district, in Zimbabwe’s Mashonaland West province.

“I can confirm that we have recorded a death this morning. I’m aware of a case that was still at casualty at West End. “This person came from Mhondoro and tests were immediately done when the patient was received. We are already in the process of contact tracing the deceased’s relatives and all the health workers that handled this patient,” said the Minister.

Meanwhile, award-winning journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has claimed that the 82-year-old Mhondoro woman who died from the Coronavirus is the mother of a ZANU-PF politician, and former Government minister and businessman although he did not reveal whom it was.

“The 82-year-old Mhondoro woman who died from the Coronavirus last night at Westend Hospital is the mother of a ZANU-PF politician, and former Government minister and businessman. May her soul Rest in Peace. May we learn from this and make sure that her death is not in vain”.

Zimbabwe now has 4 confirmed deaths from the world-wide pandemic.
