Seven police officers who threw teargas in a fully loaded bus in Harare are now facing the full wrath of the law.
The government has said it is now aware of an unfortunate incident that occurred in Harare at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Showgrounds popularly known as the showgrounds in which Zimbabwe Republic Police officers threw teargas in an occupied bus that was being driven by a tout.
This was tweeted by the Ministry Of Information, Publicity and broadcasting services in a tweet that said:
Govt has been made aware of an incident at Harare Showgrounds where a team of 7 officers have been arrested for deploying tear smoke in an occupied bus. They will face charges. The crew of the bus has also been arrested as the bus in question was being driven by a tout.
The ministry did not share the full details of the incident and ZRP has not released any information about the incident as well.

Grace summoned to traditional court over ‘improper’ Mugabe burial
Grace Mugabe, the former first lady of Zimbabwe has been summoned to Chief Zvimba’s traditional court over the ‘inappropriate’ burial of her late husband, former president Robert Mugabe who is said to have been buried in a house at the Mugabe homestead in Zvimba.
One Tinos Manongovere who issued the summons wants Robert Mugabe exhumed and reburied “properly” as per the Zvimba people’s traditions and according to the wishes of Robert Mugabe’s late mother.
The summons, seen by IZIM, translated to English reads;
You are being summoned to appear before Chief Zvimba’s Court at Gonzo Guzha Hall, Murombedzi Growth Point on 20 May 2021 at 0930 over the following allegations.
You’re accused of committing a taboo by burying the deceased Robert Gabriel Mugabe in a house which is a violation of the culture of Zvimba people. You also let Robert Gabriel Mugabe’s clothes/properties scatter.
All of Rober Gabriel Mugabe’s clothes/properties must be gathered and stored properly at the deceased’s house following our culture as the Zvimba people.
I also want the deceased – Robert Mugabe- to be reburied according to the culture of the Zvimba people at a place chosen by his relatives and mother.
For the above-mentioned violations, you are, therefore, required to pay 5 beasts and one goat.
You are allowed to bring witnesses and evidence to the court.
If you fail to attend the hearing without permission from the court, the court will rule in favour of the applicant.
If you want clarity on the matter, approach the court on the date set for the hearing.
Video : Army helicopter crashes near Ruwa killing four
HARARE – Four people including a child have been killed when an Air Force of Zimbabwe helicopter went down in a residential area in Ruwa, 22km south-east of Harare on Friday.
All three people onboard and a child on the ground were killed in the helicopter crash.
A second child suffered serious burns after the Bell 412 helicopter, apparently out of control, crashed into a house before exploding into a ball of fire.
So intense was the blaze that witnesses said they “could not see even bones.” Military police arrived at the scene and began combing through the smouldering debris, looking for human remains.
No comment was immediately available from the military, but sources told IZIM that one of the dead pilots was a female flight lieutenant. Also killed was a wing commander and a technician, both male.
A witness who was among the first to arrive at the crash site said: “Anyone in the helicopter was burnt beyond even any remains. Unfortunately, despite being in a rural-type area and sparsely populated, it crashed straight into a house, killing one child and seriously burning another.”
