Speaking in an interview with Open Parly, the leader of the Front for Economic Emancipation in Zimbabwe (FEEZ) Godfrey Tsenengamu said the country is suffering from a huge crisis.

Below isĀ  Tsenengamu’s answer on whether there is a crisis in Zimbabwe issued by Mike Mpofu:

“We have a huge crisis in Zimbabwe which can be broken down into:

1)Fuel Crisis (caused by cartel monopoly in the importation and blending of fuel);

2)Cash Crisis (Caused by Money Laundering Cartels. Civil servants cannot access their salaries from banks in the form of cash because the Money Laundering Cartels are smuggling the cash from banks to the black market money changers. These Money Laundering Cartels are ‘untouchable’ as especially Kuda Tagwirei. When Sakunda bank accounts were once frozen by RBZ FIU last year, the black market exchange rate fell significantly. However, the Sakunda bank accounts were later unfrozen under unclear circumstances);

3)Transport Crisis (The govt nationalized the public transport system which has created transport shortages and challenges to workers who commute daily);

4)Health Crisis (No medicines, no health equipment even bandages and needles plus doctors and nurses are always on strike);

5)Human Rights Crisis (Citizens are being abducted, arrested, harassed, and tortured for exercising their constitutional rights of criticizing the Govt and protesting peacefully. Even the Human Rights Lawyers like Beatrice Mutetwa are also being victimized. I myself escaped several abduction attempts after being tipped off by some sympathizers in the State security sector);

6)Corruption Crisis (The Govt has lost billions of dollars to institutionalized corruption and these billions could have boosted our economy);

7)Sanctions Crisis (As the Green Revolution we are against the imposition of sanctions on our govt because our failing govt leaders are now using sanctions as a scapegoat for all their failures. In this regard, we say SANCTIONS MUST GO!!!);

8)Polarization Crisis (Our country is gravely divided to an extent that there is a possibility of an implosion. Using the 2018 official results, ED got 2.4 million votes whilst 2.1 million votes. They have a mere difference of about 300 000 votes only. This is a time bomb. 2.1 vs 2.4 million votes. The intolerance is too much);

9)State and Security Capture (The Prosecutor General Hodzi openly admitted that State institutions such as ZACC, Judiciary, ZRP, NPA are captured by a few corrupt individuals and cartels);
