A 41-year-old man was arrested in Diepkloof, Soweto in South Africa after being found printing fraudulent permits and vehicle licensing documents.
The man had advertised outside his work-place at inscription “COVID-19 business certificate done here”
Gauteng Department of community safety warned members of the public to refrain from purchasing and using fraudulent documents during this COVID-19 lock-down period.
“We commend our law enforcement agencies for the swift arrest of this fraudster who is robbing our people of their hard-earned money in exchange of fraudulent documents,” Gauteng Community Safety spokesperson Ofense Morwane said.
“The brazen act of the suspect which saw him even advertising his fraudulent activities at his house cannot go unpunished,” he continued.
He warned that anyone who is found with the documents will face the full wrath of the law.
