Patrick Shai Commits Suicide

Renowned actor and director Patrick Shai has died.

According to Sunday World, Patrick Shai took his own life at his house in Dobsonville, Soweto.

Patrick Shai’s family confirmed his death in a statement saying;

“IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF THE VETERAN ACTOR NTATE PATRICK SHAI. HE PASSED AWAY THIS MORNING (22ND JANUARY 2022.

WE SINCERELY ASK YOU TO GIVE THE FAMILY TIME TO PROCESS THIS PAINFUL LOSS. MORE DETAILS WILL BE SHARED IN DUE COURSE. THANK YOU “

Patrick Shai granddaughter also confirmed the sad development on Facebook.

The publication revealed that news about his suicide was revealed by a family friend, who did not want to be named for fear of reprisal.
