South African Police are investigating a rather unusual murder case in which a killer boyfriend died while busy trying to conceal the murder of his girlfriend.
The 31-year-old man was one of three bodies found at a crash scene where a truck and a car collided on R23 Volkrust road near Standerton in Mpumalanga province.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, police arrived at the horrific crash scene to find that three people had died and a man was seriously injured.
“Initially, the officers thought it was a normal fatal accident but after investigations they discovered that one of the dead women had died earlier and not on the scene,” said Brigadier Mohlala.
After an intensive investigation by a team of detectives, it was discovered that there was a party at the flat of one of the couples.
The other couple was allegedly involved in an argument and the 31-year-old boyfriend stabbed his 33-year-old girlfriend to death.
The other couple assisted the boyfriend to load her body into her own car to conceal the body, and on their way to the destination they collided with a truck.
The 31-year-old boyfriend of the murdered girlfriend passed away.
The fourth person in the car was admitted to Standerton Hospital in a critical condition.
The Police are investigating a case of murder and a case of culpable homicide.
